[tp not_in=”es”] I am in my “quick accompaniments” week, easy and seasonal. So this week it’s up to the star of the season, apples! in this case applesauce. It´s one of my favorite meals ever (Could it be that Christmas is near?). I Love applesauce, at home is “the” Christmas accompaniment but I like to have it the whoooole year. To accompany pork or turkey is the absolute best and if not, as dessert… It is done in a second and it´s a thousand times better than store bought. So as we are in apple season, let´s do it![/tp]

[tp lang=”es” only=”y”]Ingredientes

  • 1 kilo de manzana reineta
  • 2 cucharadas soperas de miel
  • 1 cucharada sopera de azúcar
  • 1 taza de agua
  • sal
  • romero

*He usado manzana Reineta, podría haber usado Granny Smith o cualquier manzana que sea ácida.[/tp]

[tp not_in=”es”] Ingredients

  • 1 kg of pippin apple
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 spoonful of sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • salt
  • fresh rosemary

Peel and chop apples into chunks. Put over medium heat with water. When you see that they are cooked and start to get squishie, liquefy with the hand blender. Add the honey, sugar and a pinch of salt. We can leave them like that or put a little rosemary to scent it. That’s all! Today I’m going to have it with some pork steaks.

*I used Pippin apple, I could have used Granny Smith or similar just watch that it is acidic.[/tp]
