Lasaña de atún y berenjenas

P1100020[tp lang=”es” only=”y”]Ultimamente ando necesitada de comer pescado, no sé a que se debe, será que se acerca el calor y mi espíritu costero me indica de que es hora de mirar al mar o que simplemente estoy baja de alguna cosa químicamente… probablemente lo segundo. Así que ando de atunes a caballas a ceviches todo lo que puedo y este fin de semana ha tocado una lasaña de atún, es la primera vez que la hago de atún y me parece que se va a repetir bastante.[/tp]

Maybe it´s summer approaching and my coastal spirit indicating me it´s time to look towards the sea or maybe I’m just down on something chemically… probably the latter. So I’m a wondering through mackerel and tuna to ceviches and everything I can get my hands on. This weekend it´s been tuna lasagne, is the first time I´ve made it but I think I will be repeating it a lot.[/tp]

[tp lang=”es” only=”y”] Ingredientes

  • 1 paquete de lasaña (que no necesite pre cocción)
  • 1 lata de tomate natural triturado
  • 2 dientes de ajo
  • 1 cebolla blanca
  • 1 ramita de albahaca
  • Queso mozarella en lonchas
  • Queso rallado para fundir (mezcla de mozarella y emmental o gouda)
  • sal
  • pimienta
  • vinagre balsámico
  • 3 latas de atún al natural de las pequeñas
  • 1 berenjena grande
  • Aceite de oliva virgen
  • 1 cucharadita de azúcar

  • 1 package lasagna (does n´t need pre cooking)
  • 1 can natural crushed tomato
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 white onion
  • 1 sprig of basil
  • Mozarella cheese slices
  • Grated cheese to melt (mixture of mozarella and gouda or emmental)
  • salt
  • pepper
  • balsamic vinegar
  • 3 small cans of tuna in brine 
  • 1 large eggplant
  • Virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar[/tp]

[tp lang=”es” only=”y”]Vamos a preparar el tomate. Pelar y picar los ajos y la cebolla en trozos. En una cacerola pequeña poner aceite y sofreírlos. Añadir el tomate y freírlo un poco, bajar el fuego y añadirle un chorrito de vinagre, sal, pimienta, la hoja de albahaca y la cucharadita de azúcar. Dejarlo un rato a fuego lento y añadir aquí el atún, mezclar bien y dejar reposar.

Cortar la berenjena en rodajas lo más finas posibles. Montar en la fuente una capa de la pasta de lasaña, seguir con una capa de berenjenas, asegurarse de cubrir bien la fuente. Poner una capa del tomate con atún y una capa de queso en lonchas. Repetimos, capa de pasta, capa de berenjenas, capa de tomate y capa de queso en lonchas y ahora encima de esto una capa de pasta una de tomate y una final de queso rallado cubriendo bien toda la tapa.

Al horno unos 45 minutos hasta que la pasta esté cocida y el queso de encima dorado. Listo![/tp]

[tp not_in=”es”]Let´s make the tomato. Peel and chop the garlic and onion into chunks. In a small sauté pan add a bit of oil. Add the tomatoes and fry a little, lower the heat and add a splash of vinegar, salt, pepper, basil leaf and a teaspoon of sugar. Let it simmer for a while and add the tuna here, mix well and let it  stand.

Cut the eggplant into  slices as thin as possible. Begin by making the first layer of your lasagna with the pasta, follow with a layer of eggplant, ensure to cover well all the tray. Put a layer of tomatoes and tuna and a layer of sliced ​​cheese. Repeat, layer of pasta, layer of eggplant, layer of tomato, layer of cheese slices and now on top of  this a layer of tomato  and a final layer of grated cheese covering the whole lid.

Bake for 45 minutes or until the pasta is cooked and cheese on top is golden. Done![/tp]
